WHAT IS KAHLUA?

Kahlua is a coffee flavored liqueur that is used in drinks such as these. Other coffee flavored liquors that you could use include Tia Maria or even Bailey’s if needed.

We like Kaluha for this recipe because it adds just the right amount of sweetness that we love in a typical Whit Russian.

You can also serve this drink a lot of different ways. I have seen people serve there White Russian Recipe with scoop some ice cream in it to give it it a little more depth of flavor and substance.

That would be totally something I would do but I would use some coffee flavored ice cream or in this case maybe some mint chip if I were to do that, it would be absolutely delicious.

WHAT IS IN A CLASSIC WHITE RUSSIAN?

The only difference between this Thin Mint White Russian Recipe and a Classic White Russian is that we swap out the vodka in the classic and use creme de menthe instead.

Both are equally delicious and you can absolutely choose which one you’d like to make!

I used brewed coffee instead of coffee liquor because I only had creme de menthe on hand, but it was still pretty good! Will make again.
