The Basics of Windwalker Monks
Windwalker Monks are a melee DPS specialization that is viable in allsituations, providing strong priority and AoE damage, as well as havingsmooth and relatively easy to execute rotations.
Throughout the fight, you will need to manage Energy and Chi, your tworesources in order to get as many uses of your abilities as possible. You willhave to make sure not to cap and waste either of these resources while alsokeeping enough in store to allow immediate use of your abilities, as delayingsome can cost you considerable DPS.
If you are completely new to Windwalker and need more information on theabilities available to you, you can check out our Spell Summary page.

Stat Choice for Windwalker Monks
Currently, you will want to prioritize secondary stats as follows:
- Versatility;
- Critical Strike;
- Mastery;
- Haste.
Keep in mind that Agility and weapon item levels increase the base damage of mostof your spells. Prioritize them over secondaries.
Against multiple targets, you should prioritize Haste after Mastery.
While the stat priority for classes is normally the same for both the EasyMode page and our full guide, subtle differences can still occur. If you want tosee the full explanation of the stat priority, as well as the absolute top choicesfor the priority, head to our full stats page below.

Basic Rotation for Windwalker Monks
5.1.
Single Target
The single-target Windwalker Monk rotation is based on a priority system.
- Never use the same ability twice in a row; if you find yourself facingthis choice, go to the next option in the list.
- Use
Tiger Palm if under 4 Chi and about to cap Energy.
- Use
Rising Sun Kick.
- Use
Fists of Fury.
- Use
Blackout Kick.
- Use
Whirling Dragon Punch.
- Use
Tiger Palm.
5.2.
Multiple Target
Against multiple targets, you should make use of Storm, Earth, and Fireby using it once at the start of the fight and then using its next charge when
Fists of Fury becomes available again. From then on, simply reuse itwith Fists of Fury, making sure that you never let both of Earth, Storm, andFire charges remain available.
Tiger Palm,
Blackout Kick, and
Rising Sun Kick apply a 15-second debuff on their target, called
Mark of the Crane. Each instance of this debuff increases the damage ofyour
Spinning Crane Kick (against any target) by 10%, up to 50%.Therefore, you should distribute these spells among your enemies in such a wayas to keep the Mark of the Crane debuff up on as many targets as possible,up to 6.
Against multiple enemies, the rotation is also based on a priority system.
- Use
Whirling Dragon Punch.
- Use
Fists of Fury.
- Use
Rising Sun Kick if
Whirling Dragon Punch is comingoff cooldown.
- Use
Spinning Crane Kick on 3 or more targets.
