How do we face the future of cancer - and how is Macmillan Cancer Support best placed to help? Our current strategy process is challenging to look hard at how cancer and cancer treatments are changing. We've hosted some fascinating and provocative discussions - most recently on the subject "Will cancer be cured?" . I share my own views on that here and in a linked blog https://lnkd.in/eMETWmuWBut I'd be really interested to see what others think.....

Looking at statistics to guide programming and policy is a must.Black women have a lower incidence of Breast Cancer, but a higher mortality rate. This basically means we're diagnosed slightly less, but more likely to die. One way to change this statistic is by early-detection...scheduling your annual mammogram and doing monthly Breast Self-Exams is a great start.

It was really lovely to chat with Catriona Williams from TalkHealth. In this snippet I talk about the Coping With series of books, of which my book on breast cancer was the first. All written by clinical psychologists with lived experience of facing particular challenges. I think it is a unique perspective that can hopefully help many other people.#breastcancer #breastcancernow #cancer #cancerresearch #sequoiabooks #acpuk
